September 13 - Little Maumelle Stream Team - 8 am - noon - Advanced training class on stream ecology and sampling.  Meet at 8 am at the Kingfisher Trail at PMSP.  Education hike will include learning about the parts of a stream, collect stream insects, and measure stream chemistry.  10 am head to visitor center for an in-depth discussion of stream ecology and why we monitor these stream insects and chemistry.  Steve Filipek, head of AGFC's Stream Team Program will be leading the program. Be prepared to get wet or bring waders.  Contact George if you have any questions.

SEPTEMBER 20
- Tree ID, Part 2. Meet at PMSP Kingfisher Trail 9am-12pm. Eric Sundell will lead a hike where you will study leaves, bark, branches, fruit and anything else on the tree, while learning how to use your Tree ID book to figure out which trees are which. It will probably still be summer in September, so bring water and bug spray.

Arkansas Audubon natural history workshops - October 4 & 5 - held at Ferncliff Camp.  The brochure gives all the details and the registration form

Arkansas Has It All - November 6 at the  C.A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center.  Professional Development Workshop sponsored by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and Arkansas Dept of Education and Coordinated School Health.  Learn the benefits of learning in an outdoor classroom.  8 AM - 3:30 PM lunch provided.
